In the morning, we値l take a one-hour flight from Panama City to Chiriqui Province.
As we drive through the mountains, we値l stop to admire the stunning mountain scenery in the town of Volcan, which also lets us get a sense of the cultural diversity of this region, which is home to most of Panama痴 Guaymi Indians. Later, we値l visit a local coffee company and several local gardens to enjoy the beautiful plant life of the area before returning to Los Quetzales lodge for the evening. L
Day 2 – La Amistad Biosphere Reserve
After breakfast, we値l explore the misty cloud forests of La Amistad International Park, whose protection is shared by both Panama and Costa Rica. We値l hike through this enchanting forest, with it痴 moss-covered trees laden with blooming bromeliads, on the lookout for the Resplendent Quetzal, called by some the most beautiful bird in the world. We値l also have great views of the Baru Volcano, Panama痴 highest peak
In the afternoon, we値l visit Panama痴 "bread basket" as we hike through farmlands filled with fruit trees and vegetable crops. B,L
Day 3 – La Amistad Biosphere ReserveWe値l continue exploring the mountains of La Amistad today, enjoying its rich and beautiful forestland. You can go on a birdwatching hike, visit a horse ranch, or simply soak up the surroundings from the lodge. In the afternoon we値l catch our return flight to Panama City. B,L
Day 4 – Panama City
After breakfast, we値l take you back to the airport for your flight home or on to your next adventure. B
