An Exclusive Tropical Nature Travel Club
It has been sometime since we have sent out an email newsletter and are excited to be in touch with our new inquirers and with many of you again.
We are thrilled to present an extraordinary trip, sponsored and accompanied by the “World Parrot Trust”. This part of Brazil is rich in wildlife, especially larger parrots and is one of my all time favorite trips. I highly recommend the extension to see the Hyacinth Macaws; watching them from 15 feet away is a delight and not one to be missed!
Pantanal Wildlife Sarfari----May 28th to June 6th 2011
Want to see Greenwing, Blue & Gold and Hyacinth Macaws, giant otters and maybe a jaguar? All with an intimate group of like-minded travelers? Join us on an awe-inspiring, once-in-a-lifetime trip to Brazil's Pantanal this May.
Presented by the World Parrot Trust and organized by the experts at Tropical Nature Travel, this unique excursion will take you to some of the very best wildlife-viewing sites in the world. You will travel with WPT's Joanna Eckles and enjoy the knowledge and insight of expert local guides at each location.
You'll spend 7 days touring choice destinations in southern Brazil, selected specifically for the abundance of large macaws, many parrots, unique wildlife and spectacular scenery. An optional 5-day extension takes you north for macaw immersion! You'll see Hyacinths and Greenwings, along with the famous tufted capuchin monkey, whose antics and problem-solving skills will delight you.
It'll be an unforgettable trip with something for everyone. But if you want to take in this experience you'll need to hurry -- there are only 10 seats available, and they will fill up fast. And if you need one more incentive to go, it's this: your travel helps support the conservation efforts of the World Parrot Trust.
For all the details please visit WPT's Pantanal Trip page.
Also of special note is the new name of the ultra popular Jaguar Research Center and the Pantanal Wildlife Center.
SouthWild Jaguar Camp (also known as Jaguar Research Center) is a conservation ecotourism system for protecting, directly observing, and adding value to wild Jaguars in a unique, unhunted, uninhabited, two-million-hectare wilderness region in the heart of the Pantanal of Brazil.
In the 2011 season, the camp will have roomy, sealed, 5-m by 7-m tents with wooden floors elevated 1m above the forest floor in cool, shady forest on the banks of the bird-rich forests of the Piquirí River. The location of the camp is ideal for viewing both Jaguars and Giant Otters.
The Pantanal Wildlife Center is now the SouthWild Pantanal Lodge. It is a stone’s throw from an intimate, Giant-Otter-rich river and offers hundreds of acres of riverine forest. It also has user-friendly wildlife-viewing towers near tame wildlife such as a Jabiru Stork nest.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Sanders
