Capuchin monkeys

A favorite of visitors to Tropical Nature's Hyacinth
Camps, the Brown Capuchin monkey has a surprisingly sophisticated method
for
finding its dinner.
These small primates, which grow to be 12 to 20 inches tall and weigh from 8
to 12 pounds, use rocks as heavy as half their weight to smash open palm nuts.
At the Greenwing Valley Camp, one of our three wildlife camps,
a viewing blind allows you to watch the fascinating behavior of the capuchins.
Just a few feet from the blind, you can observe them cracking nuts on large stones
in an unparalleled display of manual dexterity.
